The Inter-State & Inter-Zonal Championships are conducted annually under the guidelines of the
Badminton Association of India (BAI). The tournament features state-level teams competing within
their respective zones — North, South, East, West, and North-East — followed by an intense
inter-zonal clash among the top-performing teams.
This dual-level structure ensures that players gain exposure to both regional and national
competition, helping them grow mentally, physically, and tactically. It’s a tournament where

Inter-State Championships:
Each state sends its best players to represent it in a variety of categories. The teams compete
within their zones to determine the zonal champions.
Inter-Zonal Championships:
The winners from each zone then move forward to compete in the Inter-Zonal stage, where the best
teams from all over India battle for the national title.
Team & Individual Matches:
The event includes both team events and individual matches, ensuring that players experience the
true spirit of both cooperation and personal excellence.

Participation is open to all state badminton associations affiliated with the Badminton
Association of India (BAI). Each state team is selected through their respective state-level
qualifying tournaments or based on player rankings.
Players must hold valid BAI registration, and all participants must comply with the age,
fitness, and conduct guidelines outlined by the organizing committee.
